Storm & Hail Damage – May 20, 2014

We had severe weather in the forecast for the evening and night hours, and mother nature didn’t disappoint! Showers and some strong severe storms moved into the area between 6-8pm and they lasted past midnight producing hail up to baseball size in a few spots along with high winds and heavy flooding rains across parts of DuPage and southern Cook Counties.  Most areas had average hail reports of ½ up to 1.75 inches but there were some larger hail reports as well. (CONTINENTAL WEATHER SERVICE STORM SUMMARY 5-20-2014)
